About the Teacher

Vidya is a YCB level 3 yoga teacher and evaluator, holding a master’s in social work and a diploma in counseling. After facing her own challenges with body pain, IBS, lower back pain, and joint pain—each a reflection of deep-rooted childhood trauma—she embarked on a journey of self-recovery. In this transformative process, she discovered yoga as a profound tool for restoring both physical and psychological health. As a counselor, she witnessed that while psychotherapy could address psychological trauma, physical symptoms often lingered, creating a cycle of suffering. This insight fueled her desire to deepen her understanding of yoga. Over the last two years, she has ignited transformation in many lives as a compassionate yoga therapist, harnessing the power of yoga to foster physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
